I have been considering getting on of these for my dogs for a while, and the cooler weather weve been experiencing finally pushed me to make the purchase. I bought one as a trial and not even a week has gone by and Ive ordered a second. My dogs LOVE it. We had to show them to go inside but now, even when the hood collapses, my dogs nuzzle their way in and are so cozy and warm. My first dog stayed in it all day the day it arrived, not wanting to lose her spot! This is really notable because she follows me everywhere! Unfortunately for her, my other dog has discovered he loves it too and now theres a race to get to it at night (hence the second order!).I think this will be a winter bed only because it will be way too hot in the warmer months.Some people complained of fluff coming off. I didnt find this to be the case. Another complaint from other reviewers is that the roof or hood collapses. I think it may be designed to do this and if your dog knows to go inside, it isnt an issue. I think it is meant to keep them warmer. The base isnt as cushioned as the other donut beds I have for my dogs, but they dont seem to mind. I put it on top of their other beds to give them extra comfort. I was unsure about the size and if it might be too small for my dogs. Both are frenchies, weigh approximately 27 pounds and fit inside with plenty of space.I highly recommend this product, as do my two dogs!

I have a guy that loves to be warm, just by the mixture of dogs in my title if you know your dogs you know every one of those breeds hes mixed with are heat hog.Our other dogs are a little too big to fit inside it, so they chose to lay on top of it.When they do that, it collapses and the cave entrance stays collapsed and makes it hard for the chiWeenieJack get back into it.If hes being lazy, he doesnt even bother trying.I just wish the cave entrance were a little more stout so it stays up

I bought two of these in size small (20×20) 10 months ago for our tiny 6 and 9 lb dogs in anticipation for our first winter in Northern New York. I liked that the tops looked floppy enough for our dogs to lay on them and they seemed thick enough for warmth in the winter.They have been such a good choice! they’re thick and sturdy enough, but also soft. They are plenty big for a 5-10 lb dog and definitely plenty of space for a 15lb dog too. They have shed a tiny bit over the last year, but not all all to where they’re thinning out. We just find little pieces of the fuzz every now and then, that’s all.We slept with our dogs in our bed for years, and they both loved to sleep under the covers with us, but one of them became so dead weight that he’d not move with our movements and he sprained his neck once, so we switched to them sleeping in a crate to keep him safe. I always felt bad about them not being able to sleep under covers anymore, but these beds have helped so much! Our dogs are bonded (they’re actually biological dad and daughter) so they sleep together in a 35 crate that fits two of these dog beds perfectly. Our smart dog chooses how to sleep in her bed each night. Sometimes she sleeps on top, and sometimes she burrows in the little cubby. Our not so smart dog (he tries his best!) doesn’t know how to get in the cubby, so I keep his bed in the front of the crate and I just make sure that on cold nights, I open the little cubby for him to get in comfortably. I feel so much better knowing they’re comfy and cozy and not cold, but also they can be cool if needed and just sleep on top. One of the best purchases I’ve made in the last year, for sure!
