I have a very large crate for a very large dog so hes comfortable. He loves the crate and its calming to him because he was a rescue for a few months before me. Anyhow, I ordered this and washed it and when he stood up and stretched the seams ripped when he stretched. Then eventually waiting for the replacement to come, he got to the foam.But, I was able (well I think) exchange and return. Weve had the new one on now for a couple days with two baby crib sheets around them. Bought as supposedly chew proof, but dog tore fabric and spread white foam all over crate and room by second morning. Still looking for something chew proof that is actually cushioned. Nice and soft at first, but with only 2 nights of use, not worth the to us.

My dog isnt much of a chewer, so i cannot attest to how chew proof this bed is. he doesnt even chew up his toys. he has a soft bite and wont chew anything voraciously, even if he has permission to.Give it some time to fluff upeveryone in my household was amazed that it came in such a compact package. like a mattress in a box; i told them. they did not believe me.we gave it about 12 hours to fluff up, and all of the lines from being compressed were gone. its not going to double in size, but you will see it becoming noticeably less flat. theres no weird smells to worry about, either.my dog and the other humans were curious and skeptical at first, but its now the place the dog goes to instead of our beds or the couch. i take this as a sign this is pretty cozy for him, and im happy he enjoys it.this technically isnt a dog bed. its a mat to be placed in a carrier for the dog. i didnt know that until AFTER i looked at the reviewsafter i ordered it.its fine, because i like to wash items for the dog frequently anyway. i can stuff this in the washing machine with his blankets and towels and voilall doggys stuff is clean at once. i love the convenience of this item. i also like that its square and rather flatmy dog would twist and contort himself into all kinds of odd positions to fit into regular dog beds with borders or rounded edges. he can just flop onto this mat and he can stretch outtwo of his favorite activities. i added blankets, a towel for additional padding, and a little doggy plantnow the dog has his own zen corner. it looks cool.i just received it, so i cannot speak to the durability of this item, but i would definitely buy another one without question. its also very soft to the touch and has little nubs on the bottom, so you know which side is for your pet and which side is for the floor. it doesnt slide around, either. dog beds sliding around is a bit of a pain for mei like that this one doesnt do that. it really must be magic!

It fit perfectly in my dog’s kennel. I’m sure it would have been very comfy for him, but he tore it to SHREDS in .32 seconds when I walked into another room. So, we’ll never know how great it could have been.

My corgi likes it. When I opened it, it smelled like chemicals BAD. I set it up on a shelf for the first 8 hours after opening, then I put it through the wash. Now, it has his favorite blanket covering it and he’s picking this every time he goes to lay down. It should be noted that I have 3 different dog beds for my boy, and this is his favorite one just after a day. Which is a big deal for me. I’m going to wash it again for him tomorrow.I just have 1 star removed because that smell when opened makes me nervous about him chewing it. Luckily, my corgi isn’t a chewer (he still has the same 3 chew toys I bought him when he was a puppy, he’s almost 4). If he was a chewer, I would have returned this item. Just make sure you’re buying pet safe things if you have a pet who likes to chew.
