This really helps keep my Dachshund relaxed. She seems to be less anxious and cuddles up nicely in it. The Orthopaedic mattress is very thick and gives her enough stability when entering and comfort when sleeping.A really nice cocoon for her!

Dachshunds love to burrow and ‘cave beds’ seem to be the general favourite of the breed but I recently realised that the one she preferred had gotten very thin on the bottom. As she will be turning 15 soon, I set about looking for a nice orthopedic one for her…and this is perfect! It’s kept in my office so she is in it the majority of the day but of an evening she often ‘asks’ to go in there to climb into her new favourite bed! As you will see from the photos, we didn’t insert the opening tube as she likes to snuggle in it but it does mean I have to lift it up for her to get into; she can do it herself but she’s a bit of a diva! She is an only fur-child but this bed would easily fit two of her in and she’s a larger miniature dachshund at 6.5kg but the mattress is so lovely and thick (looks like an egg box when you get it) she barely makes a dent in it so would be fine for heavier doggos too. Very impressed and will probably have to buy another for the lounge!

I was excited to order from Furhaven again since I purchased a dog bed from them in 2021 and it has lasted all these years. However, my new dog bed is so horrible, that I have no choice but to return it. On my old one, the quality of the material was amazing (thicker and more durable even when washing) and the padding in the dog bed full and was cozy for my dogs. However on the new one, the material felt thin and cheap, the zipper was barely staying closed, and the pad insert was the thinnest foam padding (not to mention it wasnt even the right size). I included pictures of my original one (the chockate color) and the new one (the gray color) to show just how flat and sad the new one is. I am highly disappointed in the quality and dont think Ill be ordering from them again. I would suggest just saving your money and investing in one from Snoozer or any other brand.

Our dog loves this once I figured out a way to keep it open. The pole that comes with it doesn’t hold the opening well so our senior dog wouldn’t enter the tent until I reinforced the opening with a piece of pool noodle. Now that he can see to the back he loves going in to snuggle. If he knocks the pool noodle down it won’t hurt him and it holds the opening wide open.

I now have 3 of these 35 beds. I have a 50lb Vizsla and have just added a puppy Vizsla as well. I bought the 1st bed in 42022 and a second in 62023. I keep one in our bedroom and the other in the Family Room. With the new puppy, I added a second one in the Family Room. They prefer them without the hoop. They just snorkel under like they do with blankets on a bed. The material is light, thin and is not waterproof, but has held up over time. I have washed the covers a number of times and it cleans up well. The foam insert is egg shell foam and holds up well enough. If you dog chews or pulls on dog beds, this may not hold up. For the price being half or a third of other beds, I feel that this a very good value.

I thought thr bed would be sturder. It’s got very light material and no cushion for the dog. Just a styrofoam base. The dog has trouble getting under the top to nuggle. There is no padding.

This item is the most itchy and hard bed i have ever come across. In no way shape or form is there any type of comfort and the thickness doesnt apply because the foam or whatever it is compromised of is hard as a rock!! It feels like wool, that kind of wool that makes your skin itch. Product description is wayyyyy off. No need to see if its easy to clean because my dog wont even sit on it let alone sleep on it. He even started itching so now i am stuck with no bed for my dog who suffers from separation anxiety. That is why i purchased this particular bed because i thought by the description that it would be soft and the blanket would cover over him and he would feel cozy and safe. Not the case!! I could have used that money to purchase a different one even if it costs me a bit more. Terrible bed!!! Not a happy camper!!!

My Scottie already has an igloo bed but the base was rather flat. The Furhaven formaldehyde-free Certipur foam with a roof sounded like a good upgrade.But my Scottie has other ideas. She obliges by sleeping inside, under the roof on our requests. On her own, her preference is to sleep ON the roof, challenging the curvature bending strength of the plastic rod thats threaded through the roof fabric to lift the roof at the entrance. See attached pics.So now shes left to her own devices, introducing another way to use the bed! 910 of the time on the roof, 110 only obligingly.Nothing wrong with the bed if your pup embraces a cave blanket idea. I took a star off as the roof could have been better shaped with another plastic rod to lift the middle part of the roof so that the fabric is lifted and doesnt act like a blanket?
